Thank you. The analysis you have done is very important for activists. It gives them the tools to burst apart the web of deceit woven by statists. Being able to counter the particular terms/concepts of one's opponents defeats them tactically, and it educates one's audience at the same time. That is a very effective combination.
P. S. - "Health care expenditures in this country are already half public . . ."
I have heard this before, but can't find a source. Can you suggest one?
A report from Dept. of Health and Human Services it the "Long-Term Growth of Medical Expenditures — Public and Private" found at http://aspe.hhs.gov/health/MedicalExpenditures/index.shtml. Scroll down to the first pie chart which compares public and private funding of 1960 and 2003.
Another data source is the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. At http://www.cms.hhs.gov/NationalHealthExpendData/02_NationalHealthAccountsHistorical.asp#TopOfPage scroll down to downloads and then retrieve the "NHE summary including share of GPD, CY 1960-2007. This is an important enough point I think I will do a quick post on it.
